The Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald is the National Indigenous Anglican Bishop of the Anglican Church of Canada and is the newly appointed area bishop for Northern Manitoba. Through the eyes of Indigenous elders, MacDonald sees a Jesus that is a source of hope for the whole church. The ideas and ideals held up in this Indigenous image of Jesus give rise to a vibrant, engaging spirituality that stands to enliven all corners of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Bishop MacDonald’s message is a hope-filled example of how Anglicans can seek to transform unjust structures of society and pursue peace and reconciliation. Consider watching and discussing this video with parishes committed to renewing theology for the sake of social justice and transformation.
